Fiona and Will's wedding at Lunga House

It was very clear that family is hugely important to Fiona and William on their wedding day. In addition to the fact that so many family members were in attendance to celebrate, they chose to hold the ceremony in Will's grandmother's back garden before continuing on to Lunga House for their reception. Not that this was any ordinary back yard... when you've got a location that combines such strong family associations with such incredible views across Asknish Bay and the Inner Hebrides it'd be a terrible shame not to make the most of it!

From the ceremony on the beach the wedding party continued along the coast to the magnificent Lunga House. Set in spectacular grounds, the 16th century castle made for a stunning venue for what developed into a cracking party. Will and Fiona were even gracious enough to allow me a few minutes after their meal to take a handful more portraits as the sun dropped towards the islands on the horizon. Wedding photography on the west coast of Scotland at this time of year often offers up some beautiful moments, and this was one of the best!

I could go on and on about how great a day it was, how much fun the guests were, how perfect the locations were, and how wonderful the bride and groom were to photograph amongst it all but I suspect I'm a better photographer than I am writer, so I'll let the photographs to the talking for me...
